Besides ageing gracefully (and beautifully), one of my birthday wishes is to grow wiser with each coming year. I hope that with ALL the wisdom accumulated over the years, I have made the wisest choice to tie the knot with Alvan :) This year is a significant one for me. I am becoming someone’s wife and someone’s daughter-in-law, things are going to be so different for me. It is another milestone for me. People who know me will understand how much phobia I had towards marriage. A simple word like marriage carries with it so much commitment and responsibilities. It is going to take so much time and effort to make a marriage work and last. However, I believe and trust that both Alvan and I will put in our best to make it work.
This year, I spent my birthday with my besties. They are friends who have grown up with me and seen me through the ups and downs of my life. I feel blessed and grateful that we have maintained our friendships throughout the years. I am equally glad that Alvan shares our deeply-rooted friendship (and vice versa!). Thank you all for your well wishes and I love all of you!!

ReplyDeleteYvonne, maybe I was represented by a bowl because I had to come back to NZ to preserve my rice bowl after disappearing for 5 weeks... If I stayed on, my boss will probably show me the exit.
